Every year the sisterhood of Alpha Delta Pi welcomes thousands of new members from coast to coast. Sharing the Alpha Delta Pi experience with family and friends is the gift that "keeps on giving" throughout a member's life. However, recruitment may look different from when you joined our sisterhood. These changes have made our collegiate chapters not only survive the changing times but also allows them to thrive on campuses throughout the United States and Canada.
This section aims to provide alumnae with updated information on how to recommend a Potential New Member (PNM) to our sisterhood. The recruitment process will differ from school to school, but the basics are pretty much the same when it comes to recommendations.
A. Please visit alphadeltapi.org/join Alpha Delta Pi potential new members can now introduce themselves to up to 3 chapters prior to recruitment week. They can let our chapter know about their hopes and dreams and what makes them unique. Introductions will go directly to the recruitment officers, and our recruitment team will be on the lookout for you during recruitment.
A. Yes! A new change in our Southeast Missouri State University recruitment allows current chapter members to interact with potential new members all the way up through the Sunday before recruitment week starts. Potential New Members are encouraged to follow Semo_Adpi Instagram page and can interact with the women on that page. They can also meet up with chapter women prior to recruitment starting. So, if a PNM knows women from her area that are Adpis, she can arrange to meet up to discuss Greek life at Southeast before the semester even starts.
A. Please visit alphadeltapi.org > Alumnae > Recommendation for Potential New Member (PNM)
A. The more information provided, the better. The online form allows you to attach a photo, include your personal letter and give an overview of the PNM. Many schools request a resume style overview. This can easily be attached to the online form. PNM's should include academic data such as GPA, class rank and other academic accomplishments. Recruitment committees want to know more about her special accomplishments, scholarships awarded and volunteer work. Clubs, sports team and leadership positions are also important to include. Please note the GPA requirement varies by school: this may have changed since your time as an undergraduate. At Delta Nu, the general requirement is a 3.0 from high school or a 2.8 from college.
A. Alpha Delta Pi considers sisters, daughters or granddaughters as legacies. However, if there is a tradition of Alpha Delta Pi in your family, please share this information on the online form.
A. Please review the Legacy Policy & Practices as of August 1, 2021 at www.alphadeltapi.org for the current policy regarding Legacies.
A. Forms submitted via alphadeltapi.org will be sent to the Recruitment Advisor.
A. Fall Recruitment will be held August 23-26, 2023, with Bid Day on August 27, 2023.
Please review the sample on the left to craft your own personal recommendation letter for a Potential New Member.
